Evening Child Care in Baltimore, MD

Insight Kidz Care is preparing to expand our licensed child care schedule to better support Baltimore families working evening and nontraditional shifts. Evening care is not available yet, and this page does not promise a start date, hours, or prices.

What this page does do is ask: if evening child care existed near Hamilton and the 21206 area, what schedule would your family actually need? Your answer tells us what to prepare for, and it puts you on the list to hear from us first.

Licensed Maryland Large Family Child Care Home · Registration #263488 · EXCELS Level 3 · Currently ages 2–12, capacity 11 · Public hours 6:30 AM–6:00 PM

What Is Available Today vs. What Is Planned

Evening care is a planned expansion, not a current service. Here is the honest split.

Available now

  • Care for children ages 2 through 12, Monday through Friday
  • Public hours 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM (state-approved window 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM)
  • Licensed Maryland Large Family Child Care Home, Registration #263488
  • Maryland EXCELS Level 3 quality rating
  • Child Care Scholarship (CCS) may be accepted for eligible families
  • Private school pickup transportation may be available on approved nearby routes

In development (not available)

  • A licensed evening care schedule — not yet approved, not yet scheduled
  • Evening staffing pattern requirements, so the evening shift is staffed separately
  • Converting additional approved household space into child care space
  • Preparing for possible under-age-2 capacity once required physical conditions are complete
  • Expanded licensed configuration, only as permitted after those conditions are satisfied

Because evening care requires licensing approval, this plan may change, take longer than expected, or not proceed in the form described.

Who Evening and Extended-Hours Child Care Would Help

Standard child care hours assume a standard workday. Many Baltimore families do not have one. Extended-hours and second-shift child care is the piece that is missing for parents whose shift starts at 3:00 PM, runs until 11:00 PM, or changes every week.

Second-shift and evening workers

Parents whose workday starts in the afternoon or runs into the evening.

Nurses and healthcare workers

Shift schedules that do not line up with standard daytime child care hours.

Retail, hospitality, and logistics

Store, restaurant, warehouse, and delivery schedules that end after 6:00 PM.

Families juggling two work schedules

Households where a 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM window does not cover the whole workday.

If you have searched for evening daycare near Baltimore 21206, after-hours child care, late evening child care, or simply child care that matches a nontraditional schedule, you already know how few options exist. This page exists so we can measure that need honestly instead of guessing at it.

What We Are Not Promising

No opening date
No confirmed evening hours
No confirmed evening age ranges
No evening prices
No reserved spots or guaranteed placement
Not overnight care, not 24-hour care, not weekend care

Insight Kidz Care is not a 24-hour daycare and does not provide overnight or weekend care. Night care, late-night care, and 24-hour care are a genuinely different level of licensing and staffing than an extended evening schedule, and we will not describe ourselves as something we are not.

Demand & Planning

Join the Evening Care Interest List

Tell us what schedule you need. This is not an enrollment form, it does not confirm a child care placement, and it does not reserve a spot. It records the demand signal we take to licensing and to our planning.

This is an interest list, not an enrollment form and not a confirmation of a child care placement. Evening care is not available yet, and no hours, ages, or prices are confirmed. Current daytime care for ages 2-12, Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM-6:00 PM, is unchanged.
