If you are considering enrolling, this page will give you a clear picture of how our program works day to day.
What You Can Expect as a Parent
- Clear communication through Brightwheel
- A consistent daily routine for your child
- A safe, structured, and nurturing environment
- Regular updates so you always know how your child is doing
Why Structure Matters for Your Child
Children thrive when they know what to expect each day. Our policies and routines are designed to create consistency, reduce stress, and help your child feel secure and confident.
Program Policies & Expectations
Parent Handbook
Our parent handbook outlines all policies, procedures, and expectations for families enrolled at Insight Kidz Care. You will receive a copy upon enrollment and are asked to review and sign an acknowledgment. This handbook covers everything from drop-off procedures to holiday schedules.
Daily Routine
Children at Insight Kidz Care follow a structured daily routine that includes breakfast, circle time, structured learning activities, outdoor play, lunch, quiet time or nap, afternoon activities, snack, and creative play. This consistent schedule helps children feel secure and supports their developmental growth.
What to Bring
Please send your child with: a complete change of clothes, diapers and wipes (for younger children), a crib sheet and blanket (for nappers), any special comfort items, and sunscreen during summer months. All items should be clearly labeled with your child's name.
Sick Child Policy
To protect all children in our care, we ask that sick children remain home until they are feeling better. Children must be fever-free for 24 hours without medication before returning. This policy helps maintain a healthy environment for every child and family. If your child becomes ill during the day, we will contact you immediately for pickup.
Tuition & Payment Information
Tuition is due weekly and can be paid conveniently through our Brightwheel system. We accept cash, check, and electronic payments. Timely payment helps us maintain consistent staffing and quality care for every child. We accept the Maryland Child Care Scholarship (CCS) for eligible families. See our Child Care Scholarship provider page for more details.
Brightwheel Communication
We use Brightwheel as our primary communication platform. Through Brightwheel, you'll receive real-time updates about your child's day, including photos, activity reports, meal information, and nap times. You can also message us directly, complete billing, and manage your child's profile. New families will receive an invitation to set up their Brightwheel account during enrollment.
Planning for Evening Care
Evening care is in development and is not available yet. If you work evenings or a second shift, you can join the evening care interest list and tell us the days, hours, and age group your family would need. That information shapes what we prepare before launch.
